Join us on Wednesdays for Let’s Mahj at Ko, a curated American Mahjong Open Play night hosted by Mahjong Social Club Jax at Izakaya Ko. Designed to bring together Jacksonville’s growing Mahjong community in an elevated, social setting, this evening blends relaxed open play with great food, drinks, and connection.

Guests can enjoy American Mahjong open play from 5:30pm–8:00pm while taking advantage of 10% off food and drinks throughout the event. Expect a laid-back atmosphere, communal tables, signature cocktails, and a fun midweek night out with fellow Mahjong lovers. Whether you’re a seasoned player or simply looking for a unique social experience, Let’s Mahj at Ko is all about community, conversation, and a little friendly competition.

Please Note: This event is designed for players with prior American Mahjong experience

Tickets are $20 and include entry to the event. Please note: A $3.30 service and processing fee will be added to each registration at checkout. All registrations are non-refundable. If you are unable to attend, Mahjong Social Club Jax will make reasonable efforts to accommodate a transfer or rescheduling request; however, any such accommodation is at the sole discretion of Mahjong Social Club Jax and subject to availability.

Mahjong Social Club Jax will provide tables, mats, tiles, racks, and event facilitation. Prior play experience required. Seating is limited.

  Open Play and Guided Play sessions are designed for players who already have a foundational understanding of American Mahjong and can independently read the NMJL card, build hands, and participate in gameplay.
  
  While instructors may be available to answer questions, provide strategy tips, clarify rules, and offer guidance during gameplay, these sessions are not intended to serve as beginner instruction or a substitute for Mahjong 101 or introductory lessons. Players who are brand new to Mahjong or who are not yet comfortable with the basic rules, Charleston, tile identification, card reading, and gameplay structure should register for a beginner class before attending Open Play or Guided Play.
  

  Mahjong Social Club Jax reserves the right to recommend a beginner class if a participant requires foundational instruction beyond the scope of the event.
